Last weekend saw some fantastic Anchorians action with four of our youth teams heading into North Kent Youth League Cup Finals.
Our U9 Lions and U11 Pumas faced their respective group Challenge Cup, with our U12 Tigers chasing their first Challenge Shield and our U9 Panthers fighting for the Pat Jeal Invitational Cup... Phew!
To have this many teams in finals is an amazing achievement, particularly as two of our teams are newly formed and in their first season of playing together.
With some fantastic football on display from all teams, it wasn't quite the day for the Pumas (pictured above) and Lions, both proudly coming away from tough games and strong teams with their runners up medals.
Our Under 12 Tigers (pictured above), were the first winning result through, with the Coaching Team saying "last season this team didn't exist; today we won the NKYDL cup final! We are so proud of our boys!"
And the winning didn't stop there as another one of our first season teams, the Under 9 Panthers (pictured below), also got the result they were after, with Manager Ryan saying that the boys were "absolutely buzzing", and we're not surprised!
At Anchorians Football Club, we're hugely proud of the effort and commitment from our players at such a young age, and their confidence at heading into cup finals - a first for many of our players on Sunday!
A huge well done to everybody playing on the day, and a round of applause for our volunteer Coaches and Managers for supporting the journey... We can't wait to see what comes next for them all!
